Artem has over 35 years’ experience in physical special effects and model-making. We provide a full range of floor effects, including pyrotechnics and rigs, for our clients in film, TV, commercials, and live events. Our making services include models, miniatures, prosthetics, sculpture, animatronics, and special props. With extensive workshop premises in West London, Glasgow, and Manchester, we are ideally positioned to cover location and studio shoots across the UK.

We have a flexible and highly responsive workforce that can respond to the changing needs of any film or TV production, and deliver a high-quality service, anywhere in the world. Our approach includes both modern and traditional tools and skills – from computerised design and manufacture to hands-on sculpting or welding, all provided on the same site for maximum convenience and availability. Whatever your vision, however big or small, we can bring it to life.
We also offer a wide range of special effects equipment for hire and sale, including products designed or adapted by Artem, such as the iconic Artem exterior smoke gun which sells worldwide and our ‘quiet’ three-phase electric wind machines for interior or exterior shoots. Our credits include: Trigger Point, Vigil, Bridgerton, Peter Rabbit 2, Cinderella, The Man Who Fell to Earth, DEVS, The Great, Dark Encounter, Bodyguard, T2: Trainspotting, Paddington 2, The Foreigner, Macbeth, Hot Fuzz and In the Heart of the Sea. Artem have also provided special effects and props to the Commonwealth Games 2022, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Harry Potter: The Cursed Child, Take That’s Arena Tours, Holiday on Ice, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympics.

Ealing Studios is an independent British Studio, developing, financing and producing feature films for international distribution.

Ealing Studios’ extensive facilities provide stages and services for independent and major international production in a convenient central London location; the Studio community incorporates a wide variety of companies providing services to the film, television and media business.

Home to the birth of British cinema, Ealing Studios has been at the forefront of media revolution since 1902. Many of Britain’s most ground-breaking dramas of the 20th century were shot here, for the big and small screen alike. The Studios have launched the careers of a multitude of award-winning directors, writers and actors.

Ealing has 5 stages ranging from 1,000 – 10,000 square feet, comprised of three classic 1930s sound stages and two smaller stages that are perfect for VFX, camera tests, pack shots and stills. The Studios are also equipped with workshops, prop stores, make-up and costume facilities that cater to all kinds of productions. Our flexible production offices have been home to countless TV shows, dramas and feature films.

At the heart of Ealing Studios’ thriving and vibrant community is 50,000 sq ft of serviced office space, home to a wide range of creative and innovative media businesses. Both interconnecting and open plan spaces are available, all offices are fully furnished, and enjoy plenty of natural light.

Mackinnon & Saunders are world renowned puppet makers and animation producers.

They specialise in the design and construction of puppet characters for television shows, feature films and commercials. Mackinnon & Saunders’ team’s work can be seen in many TV series including Moon and Me, Twirlywoos , Bob the Builder, Pingu, Koala Brothers, Rastamouse, Postman Pat SDS, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, Strange Hill High, The Clangers and Scream Street, as well as in feature films including Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, Mars Attacks!, Frankenweenie and Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. Most recently, Mackinnon & Saunders have been tasked with building the puppets for Guillermo Del Toro’s animated movie Pinocchio, for Netflix.

In addition, Mackinnon & Saunders develop and produce Stop Motion and 2D Digital projects both for third parties and in-house across 15,000 sq ft of fully equipped studios and workshops. To date They have produced over 200 episodes of television animation including Twirlywoos, Postman Pat SDS, Wanda and the Alien and Toby’s Travelling Circus.
