Creative England are playing host to their next ever popular Hertfordshire ProConnect crew networking evening at Elstree Studios.
Hertfordshire ProConnect is an ERDF backed programme of support for sole traders and SME’s working in or in the supply chain to the film and TV industry, as well as new market entrants to ensure they are well placed to start their own business. The programme will deliver a series of workshops, networking evenings, one-to-one interactions and small business grants, leading to economic growth for programme beneficiaries.
The networking evening will open with a speaker session from a carefully selected group of industry experts including: Andy Brunskill, Producer from SUMS Film & Media whose latest film, Lilting starring Ben Whishaw, opened Sundance 2014 and won Best Cinematography. Anna Mansi, Head of Certification at the BFI, who has extensive knowledge of providing advice on creative sector tax reliefs and Creative England’s own Kate O’Hara, Development & Production Executive on iFeatures, a low budget feature film funding initiative.
The event will provide an opportunity to find out from the experts the various ways of accessing capital and utilising financial tax breaks within the industry, network with fellow filmmakers, make new contacts and receive practical advice on how to get a film from page to screen.
