UK Screen Alliance welcomes the appointment of six new Council representatives to oversee the facilities members over the next term.
The Facilities Council decides UK Screen Alliance’s policies affecting facilities and service providers in post-production, VFX and studios. Elections take place every two years, with each representative serving two terms. These representatives are elected by our Facilities members.
The six newly elected members are Nick Long, MD at Salon Limited; Rowan Bray, Group MD at Clear Cut Pictures; Kate Hollingsworth, Head of Business Operations and Content Security at Picture Shop; Gemma Nicholson, Founder at Post Super; and Rachael Penfold, CEO at One of Us. Stefano Salvini, General Manager at DNEG, has been co-opted onto the Council.
These representatives join the existing Council, which comprises of Rich Moss, MD at Gorilla Group; Lucy Killick, COO Film and Episodic at Framestore; Misha Stanford-Harris, VP of Global Production at The Mill; Chris Burn, Global Head of Production at MPC; and Matthew Brown, CEO at Imaginarium Studios.
Previous Council representative, Cara Sheppard, Global President at Picture Shop, will be joining the Board of Directors.
Will Cohen, former CEO of Milk VFX; Mike Kelt, MD at Artem; Lucy Ainsworth-Taylor, CEO and Co-Founder of BlueBolt; and Annie Gaudet, Senior Director at Trevanna London Ltd. will be stepping down from the Council. We would like to thank them for their wise advice and commitment during their period of office.
Nick Long started in the industry in 2003 and has now been MD of Salon for 15 years, continually growing the editing equipment hire business, founding their sales division and designing their remote solutions that have now become a global offering.
I am honoured to be a part of the newly elected Council and excited to help drive forward the best interests of the UK’s post-production industry during a time of unprecedented growth inside a more challenging wider global economy.

Rowan Bray joined Clear Cut Pictures in 2017 as the MD. After strategic expansion, the Clear Cut Group now comprises of four businesses, offering post-production and VFX to the non-scripted market in London and Birmingham. Rowan has served on several industry bodies over the years and is particularly passionate about staff development and training for our sector.
I am delighted to join the Council of UK Screen Alliance – the work that the Alliance does is so important in representing and growing the Facilities sector. It will be great to help support and build on that strong foundation with the team.

As Head of Business Operations and Content Security at Picture Shop, Kate Hollingsworth is experienced in all aspects of Media Production, most recently, in the fields of Post-Production Business Operations, Information Governance, Risk and Compliance, Production Management and Creative Service Lines.
I’m absolutely delighted to be joining my peers on the UK Screen Alliance Facilities Council whom have become familiar faces over the years. I very much look forward to contribute to the Council’s collective voice of advocacy for our sector which provides such valued support to the industry and to the wonderfully talented, creative people that work behind the curtain with us.

Gemma Nicholson has been in the film and TV industry for over twenty years, starting her career in Sound before becoming a Post Supervisor, who has worked on all budget levels of both film and TV. Gemma founded Post Super in 2019, a platform that aims to provide Post Supervisors and Facility Post managers with four key elements for them to be able to do their work more effectively: Community, Information, Training and Tools.
I am pleased and proud to be one of the new Facilities Council representatives. The UK Screen Alliance does great work and I am looking forward to being a greater part of that.
Gemma Nicholson, Founder at Post Super
Since starting One Of Us in 2004, Rachael Penfold has carefully and successfully steered a boutique facility, with a reputation for tackling design and creative challenges, to a company able to execute ever more complex and sophisticated work on a far larger scale. She oversees the company’s creative and business strategies.
With over two decades of experience, Stefano held senior management positions before joining DNEG London as General Manager in 2022. He is responsible for developing key business and creative strategies for the studio, as well as overseeing site operations and teams. Stefano is a problem solver by nature and has been immersed in every aspect of the VFX pipeline during his years in the industry.
